The supervillain, Green Goblin is a wealthy businessman named Norman Osborn who becomes insane after experimenting with performance enhancing drugs. He becomes a ruthless and unpredictable criminal mastermind and Spider-Man's archenemy. The Green Goblin has been portrayed as one of Spider-Man's deadliest foes and played a central role in the death of Spider-Man's first love interest, Gwen Stacy.
